New in ShopZero: Create and Track Facebook Ads from Your Merchant Dashboard

6 min read

ShopZero's latest feature release brings essential Facebook Ads management into the merchant dashboard. Eligible merchants can connect their Meta account, choose an ad account and Facebook Page, build a traffic ad, select an existing Meta custom audience, set a budget and schedule, and review campaign performance without moving through multiple tools for the everyday workflow.

The goal is focused: make the fundamental advertising process faster and more understandable for Bangladesh e-commerce teams while keeping Meta as the advertising and billing platform.

What merchants can do

  • Connect Facebook securely through Meta OAuth.
  • Select an accessible Meta ad account and Facebook Page.
  • Use an existing custom audience created in Meta Ads Manager.
  • Create a website traffic ad with primary text, headline, image, and destination URL.
  • Set daily budget and campaign duration.
  • Create campaigns as paused for review, then publish or pause them from ShopZero.
  • View spend, impressions, clicks, click-through rate, and attributed purchases when Meta returns that data.

Promote a product in a few steps

Product pages in the merchant admin now include a Promote on Facebook workflow for eligible stores. ShopZero prepares a draft using the product name, description, image, price context, and verified storefront URL. The merchant sees a Facebook-style preview, chooses an audience, confirms the daily budget and duration, and runs the ad.

This product workflow is designed for teams that do not want to rebuild the same creative information every time they promote an item. Merchants can still edit the primary text before publishing.

A familiar interface without copying Ads Manager

The interface uses familiar advertising terms—creative, audience, budget, schedule, campaign status, and insights—but follows the existing ShopZero admin design. New advertisers receive a guided flow; experienced advertisers retain the core controls needed for straightforward traffic campaigns.

Campaign insights in ShopZero

The Facebook Ads page lists campaigns and retrieves performance from Meta Insights. Merchants can review spend, impressions, clicks, CTR, and purchases when available, then publish or pause a campaign. This keeps the launch and monitoring loop close to products, orders, and store operations.

Meta remains the source of truth for advertising delivery, attribution, account status, and billing. Results shown in ShopZero depend on Meta's API response, account permissions, attribution configuration, and reporting availability.

How Meta Pixel fits

Facebook Pixel configuration remains available under ShopZero's Tracking settings. A Pixel is not required to create a traffic ad, but merchants should configure the correct Pixel and ensure it belongs to the relevant Meta Business when they want conversion attribution. Purchase reporting appears only when Meta attributes and returns those events.

This release does not introduce Meta Conversions API, create audiences inside ShopZero, publish unpaid Page posts, or build catalog/shopping campaigns. Those capabilities are outside this focused first release.

What you need before connecting

  1. A ShopZero subscription plan that includes Facebook Ads.
  2. A Meta user with permission to manage the intended ad account and Page.
  3. A valid payment method configured on the Meta ad account.
  4. At least one custom audience already created in Meta Ads Manager.
  5. For product promotion, a product image and a verified ShopZero storefront domain.

Advertising spend is charged by Meta and is not included in the ShopZero subscription. Meta may require additional account verification, permissions, or policy review.

How to get started

  1. Open the ShopZero merchant admin and go to Growth → Facebook Ads.
  2. Select Connect with Facebook and approve the requested permissions.
  3. Choose the ad account and Page your store will use.
  4. Create a campaign from the Facebook Ads page, or open a product and choose Promote on Facebook.
  5. Review performance and campaign status from the Facebook Ads workspace.

Why this release matters

Many commerce teams lose time moving product details, links, budgets, and campaign results between an admin dashboard and advertising tools. Bringing the essential workflow into ShopZero reduces context switching and makes product promotion more accessible—without hiding the fact that Meta controls ad approval, delivery, billing, and attribution.

Existing merchants can contact support to confirm plan availability and Meta setup. New merchants can get started with ShopZero and discuss the right plan for their store.
