Meta Integration in ShopZero: Catalog Sync, Facebook Ads, and Pixel in One Connection

8 min read

For many Bangladesh brands, Facebook is still where discovery happens—and the website is where checkout should finish cleanly. ShopZero’s Meta integration connects that loop: one Facebook login powers catalog sync, traffic ads, and storefront Pixel tracking, while Meta remains the system of record for campaigns and ad spend.

This post is the merchant-facing overview. For a shorter product page, see Meta & Facebook integration. For the ads workflow release notes, see Facebook Ads from the merchant dashboard.

One OAuth, multiple channels

You connect Facebook once. ShopZero stores one shared long-lived token (encrypted) and uses it for the Meta channels your plan includes—today that means product catalog and ads. You bind a catalog and/or an ad account + Page from settings instead of juggling separate “apps” for each job.

Product catalog sync (ShopZero → Meta)

When catalog is enabled and bound, ShopZero can push inventory to a Meta catalog: titles, prices, availability, and media so what you sell on the storefront can show up consistently in Meta’s catalog tools.

  • Direction of truth for sync is ShopZero → Meta (edits only inside Meta are not pulled back).
  • Use auto-sync when you want continuous updates, or sync on demand when you prefer control.
  • A verified storefront domain matters for a clean catalog setup and product promotion links.

Better catalog data starts upstream: clear descriptions and images (including from ShopZero AI) make both the website and Meta listings more trustworthy.

Facebook ads and Promote on Facebook

Eligible merchants can create website traffic (link) ads from ShopZero: creative, an existing Meta custom audience, daily budget, and duration—then publish or pause without living in Ads Manager for every simple push. From a product, Promote on Facebook pre-fills name, description, image, and storefront URL so you are not retyping the same details.

Campaigns still live in Meta. ShopZero keeps the connection and bindings so launch and light monitoring stay next to products and orders. Meta bills ad spend; it is not included in your ShopZero subscription.

Meta Pixel on the storefront

Add your Pixel ID under Tracking settings. Pixel is independent of the catalog/ads OAuth connection. A Pixel is not required to create a traffic ad, but correct Pixel setup (in the right Business) is what allows Meta to attribute purchases in Insights when those events are available.

Clear expectations

  • Catalog and ads are plan features—your plan must include them to unlock those channels.
  • You need Meta permissions on the ad account and Page, plus a valid Meta payment method for ads.
  • Messenger inbox, Instagram DM, WhatsApp, and comment bots are on the roadmap—not full live channels yet.
  • This is not a black-box “autopilot”: you still choose creative, audience, and budget.

Suggested setup order

  1. Confirm your plan includes Meta catalog and/or ads.
  2. Connect Facebook from Integrations → Meta and approve permissions.
  3. Bind catalog and/or ad account + Page; verify your storefront domain.
  4. Sync products, configure Pixel, then create an ad or promote a hero SKU.
  5. Review spend and basic insights in ShopZero; dig deeper in Meta when needed.

Why it helps growing BD stores

Switching between notebooks, Meta Business Suite, Ads Manager, and your store admin burns hours. Putting catalog sync and everyday ad creation next to inventory and orders reduces context switching—without pretending ShopZero replaces Meta’s billing, policy review, or delivery engine.
